Telstar International Scouts - Luxembourg

Telstar International Scout Group in Luxembourg provides a dynamic Scouting experience for English-speaking boys and girls aged 6 and up. As one of Luxembourg’s most diverse and vibrant Scout groups, Telstar welcomes children from all nationalities, currently boasting over 200 Scouts and Leaders from 21 different countries. Due to its popularity and impact, the group also has a waiting list of more than 80 young people eager to join the adventure.

Telstar operates under the programme and award scheme of the British Scout Association, offering its members a rich, structured pathway of development and achievement. As part of the Northern Europe District of British Scouts Overseas (BSO), Telstar connects young people to the global Scouting movement while maintaining its unique international identity in Luxembourg.

In addition to being part of British Scouting Overseas, Telstar is also a full member of Luxembourg’s own national federation, the Fédération Nationale des Eclaireurs et Eclaireuses du Luxembourg (FNEL). This dual affiliation allows Telstar to deliver its programme in English while building strong ties within Luxembourg’s local Scouting community. In 2024, the group further cemented this bond by adopting the FNEL uniform, all while continuing to provide access to British Scouting’s comprehensive training and programme materials in English.

Registered as a Luxembourg charity (ASBL), Telstar is committed to providing high-quality Scouting experiences for young people, fostering personal growth, leadership skills, and a sense of international citizenship. Through a wide range of activities, from outdoor adventures and community service to international camps, Telstar helps shape well-rounded individuals who are prepared to face the challenges of tomorrow.
